Cognizant has opened its hiring process for 2025 engineering graduates through its GenC Next, GenC Pro, and GenC programs. Candidates holding B.E / B.Tech / M.E / M.Tech degrees are eligible to apply. However, streams such as Leather Technology, Food Technology, and Fashion Technology are not considered.

Moreover, selected candidates will have the opportunity to work in one of the following locations: Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Pune, Coimbatore, Kochi, Bhubaneswar, or Indore. The complete eligibility criteria and application process are outlined below.

  • Analyze business requirements, raise necessary clarifications, and contribute to documentation.
  • Additionally, design, develop, test, debug, and deploy code based on the specified requirements.
  • Understand the relevant data needs and develop corresponding test scenarios.
  • Furthermore, gain familiarity with Agile development, associated deliverables, and follow the SDLC process.
  • Prepare low-level component designs.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Only students from the 2025 batch with B.E / B.Tech / M.E / M.Tech qualifications are eligible (excluding certain streams like Leather, Food, and Fashion Technology).
  • minimum of 60% must be maintained consistently in X, XII, Diploma, UG, and PG without any rounding off.
  • At the time of joining, candidates should have no standing arrears and a minimum 60% aggregate in their current degree.
  • CGPA to percentage conversions must follow university-specific norms.
  • Candidates with arrears are not eligible.
  • Flexibility to work across locations, shifts, and technologies within Cognizant is mandatory.
  • Open to Indian nationals/OCIs residing in India.
  • All communications will be sent to the registered personal email ID used in Superset. This ID must remain unchanged throughout the hiring and onboarding process.

Mandatory Documents for Registration:

  • A resume with a recent passport-size photograph.
  • Industry-accredited certifications, if available, must be uploaded.

Mandatory Documents for Interview:

  • All academic credentials including college ID, school and college mark sheets, and provisional/degree certificates.

Mandatory Documents for Onboarding:

  • Voter ID card or Passport – Required to validate citizenship.
  • PAN card – Mandatory for onboarding. Ensure accurate details such as last name and father’s name, as discrepancies may lead to failed background verification.

Students applying for GenC Next must possess strong academic and technical proficiency. In particular, they should have mature programming and full-stack development skills, along with industry-recognized certifications in one or more of the following:

  • Java, C#, Python, Web Technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
  • SQL/PLSQL, Oracle
  • Cloud Platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Data Structures & Algorithms, Object-Oriented Programming
  • Frameworks such as Spring Boot, Spring REST, Spring Data JPA, ASP .NET Core, Entity Framework Core, Web APIs
  • Tools like Maven

For GenC Pro, candidates must have expertise in enterprise platforms and specific technologies. This includes domains such as:

  • Cybersecurity
  • Oracle
  • Salesforce
  • Mulesoft
  • Pega
  • SAP ABAP / SAP Basis
  • ServiceNow

Additionally, candidates must possess industry-accredited certifications relevant to the respective technologies.
