As a Graduate Trainee at Calix, you will:
- Collaborate with threat researchers and security engineers to analyze network-based attacks and create detection logic.
- Perform packet-level analysis using PCAPs and tools such as Wireshark or Zeek.
- Assist in developing and testing detection signatures for IPS/NIDS systems.
- Contribute to internal tool development to improve workflows and automation (primarily in Python).
- Conduct open-source intelligence (OSINT) gathering on emerging threats, IoCs, and TTPs.
- Support creation of technical documentation, threat reports, and playbooks.
- Participate in technical discussions throughout the threat research and signature development lifecycle.
- Help simulate attack scenarios to validate detection capabilities.

To be eligible for this role, you should have:
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Networking, or Cybersecurity (graduated or final-year, batch 2024/2025).
- Strong understanding of Computer Networking, TCP/IP, OSI Model, and Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS).
- Familiarity with Cyber Threat Intelligence, MITRE ATT&CK, and malware delivery methods.
- Programming knowledge (preferably in Python) for automation and utilities development.
